Shoaib targets Sri Lanka

Pakistan's Shoaib Akhtar wants to return to international cricket in the one-day series against Sri Lanka.Shoaib was withdrawn from the squad a week before the start of the Twenty20, after a doctor said the player was suffering from viral infection. "It was a heartbreak missing out on Pakistan's World Twenty20 success, but that's in the past now and I want to play the one-day series against Sri Lanka," Shoaib said."I have attained full fitness and have been gaining rhythm in bowling."Shoaib featured in only four Twenty20 matches in 2008, with his 12-year career being hampered by countless injuries and disciplinary problems. He recently served a ban for publicly criticising the Pakistan Cricket Board, but was eventually allowed to play in the one-day series against Sri Lanka earlier this year.
