Sri Lanka denies access to alleged Canadian Tiger

Sri Lanka’s government has refused Canada’s request to visit a Canadian citizen who is accused of being a Tamil Tiger combatant and is being detained in a rehabilitation camp. The unnamed Canadian citizen is now waiting to see how Sri Lanka intends to deal with alleged Tiger prisoners, as the government in Colombohas yet to clarify its plans on whether detainees will be tried as terrorists, held in rehabilitation camps, or eventually released.
