A tsunami warning issued in the wake of a magnitude 7.6 earthquake off India’s Andaman Islands has been cancelled, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s
Pacific Tsunami Warning Centersaid.
The quake early on Tuesday had triggered a tsunami alert for India, Myanmar,Indonesia, Thailand and Bangladesh. More than two hours after the quake there were no reports of a tsunami from ocean rim countries or of any casualties from the tremor.
