Chief Minister of the Uva Province Shashindra Rajapaksa officially assumed duties this morning (August 26). A ceremony was held at the Uva Province Chief Minister’s office as Mr. Rajapaksa who polled the highest number of preference votes in the Moneragala district assumed duties as Chief Minister.
