The Met Department predicts showers or thundershowers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces and areas of the southern coast, during the course of the day. Other parts of the island can expect light rains.
In the 24 hours ending 8.30 am today there was a recorded rainfall of 33.7 mm from Colombo. (D.S)
