“Wicket was the problem” - coach

Sri Lanka cricket team’s bowling Champaka Ramanayake has claimed that they were confused by the wicket at the Pellekele Stadium which is hosting a Test for the first time and put the blame on the wicket for Sri Lanka’s poor bowling on the opening day in the third test against West Indies."We didn't know anything about the wicket. There was some moisture and we thought we can capitalise on that. It didn't seam that much. The first ball was a good one, but it didn't seam or swing. We had a good start. We expected the wicket to do a lot, but it didn't do as much as we expected." Ramanayake told the media on Wednesday. Source by: daily mirror
