Sri Lanka dismisses Al Jazeera footage on killings as nothing but a lie

Sri Lanka government while vehemently dismissing the authenticity of the photograph shown on Al-Jazeera on the killing allegedly captured during the final stages of the Sri Lankan war with Tiger terrorists regrets to note that Aljazeera itself has announced that they carried this footage.unverified Sri Lankan Government spokesman Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella told Government news web, news.lk that there was nothing new but bits and pieces of what was shown on Chanel 4.Al Jazeera showed photographs of bodies and execution-style killings allegedly captured during the final stages of the war in Sri Lanka.

But they themselves announced that were unable to verify their authenticity.“When these were first shown on Channel 4 we dealt with it and scientifically proved that footage was fabricated. Therefore the credibility of the footage cannot be taken seriously.” Minister Rambukwella confirmed underlining the government’s position.The Minister also noted that it was regrettable that Al jazeera having run this fabricated story while the government of Sri Lanka has already dealt with it and proved it was nothing but a lie.
