The government has allocated a sum of Rs.100 million for flood victims while the relief programme will be carried out through the District Secretariats along with the Divisional Secretariats, Grama Niladharis and the Tri-service personnel.Government media reported that the Disaster Management Minister Mahinda Amaraweera is presently camped in the Eastern Province where he has held discussions with government officials in the Ampara district will inspect the situation in Batticaloa as well.
