Leader of the Nava Sihala Urumaya Sarath Manamendra was taken into custody by the Welikada police for threatening two persons with a pistol, police saidA trishaw driver had attempted to rob Manamendra with an accomplice. Manamendra had then threatened the two persons by pointing the pistol at them and shot into the air and ordered them to kneel.
This morning Manamendra had taken them to the Welikada police where all of them were subsequently arrested by the police. (SD) Source by: daily mirror
