Mangala accuses Def Sec with illegal land grab - VIDEO

A protest organized by the United National Party will be held on February 09 at Lipton Circus in opposition to the present dictatorship and also to demand the release of imprisoned Sarath Fonseka, MP Mangala Samaraweera stated.


Speaking at a press briefing today he said that the protest is also intended to oppose the suppression of media, the murders and the abductions taking place in the North, the escalating cost of living, the Local Government election being postponed in certain areas and the injustice faced by Colombo home owners.

The Defence Secretary has tried his hand at illegal land grab by relocating ancestral land owners in Colombo to other areas and selling their lands to foreigners as he pleases, accused the UNP Parliamentarian.

Mangala Samaraweera also urged the public to join the protest movement on February 09 to voice concern.
